What will you be doing

⦁   Make your stakeholders from across Barclays in Hamburg having excellent insights in our business by implementing, automate and control reports and dashboards. Communicate key metrics and drivers of the business to create and present insightful analyses and advise areas for improvement or where further investigation is needed

⦁   Define, align, and build analysis and tools to support and influence tactical and strategic decisions ∙ Act as a consultative service provider for our Operations unit in defining and aligning reporting needs and capabilities to drive business decisions

⦁   Lead the reporting process chain from data definition, identification and setup to reporting and automation. Own the preparation of management information, along with historical reporting and ad hoc analyses including collation of end of e.g. week/month/year reports to support operational areas and pro-actively drive management decisions

⦁   Identify business needs for data and define relevant KPIs with stakeholders to influence strategic decision making, support them in resolving data definition challenges

⦁   Maintain a high degree of data accuracy in reports and visualisations by implementing sound quality

checks and controls. Establish a high level of control environment and ensure responsible procedures are applied to guarantee best quality in report execution

⦁   Maintain tools and databases for the business intelligence team and be an expert on both business and technical processes. You increase the level of automation with the development of new tools and capabilities and reduction of manual workarounds

⦁   Constantly act as leadership role model and lead junior team members from a professional perspective, possibly act as line manager

What we're looking for

⦁   You are a motivated BI expert and a communicator with a digital mindset

⦁   Your skills are built not only on a degree/diploma or equivalent in an analytical/quantitative/business related discipline, but on a proven track of experience in driving insights from data, assess operational impact and recommend actions to various (senior) stakeholder

⦁   Exceptional Tableau and SQL programming skills in order to produce meaningful insights and reports

⦁   Proficiency in SAS or equivalent data analysis and statistical tool (R, Python)

⦁   As a self-motivated team player you are able to define, structure and prioritize work for yourself as well as others – but you have also the flexibility and capability to change priorities if required ∙ General business knowledge – you’re are able to gain a good understanding of a business and its core strengths and opportunities quickly

⦁   Strong interpersonal skills in communication, networking and conflict management are an asset

Skills that will help you in the role

⦁   Ability to deliver accurate results within tight deadlines

⦁   Ability to synthesize divergent sources of data (data room, data tape) into a comprehensive view of the business

⦁   Experience in consumer finance or payment market (ideally in Germany) with respect to customer acquisition, product management and/or risk assessment
