We're looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst

(ALL GENDERS)

We all enjoy meeting people who are full of new ideas and always looking to improve themselves. And that's also true at Barclays – because we're not your typical bank. Just like you, we're full of energy and love forging new paths.

You can have a real impact at Barclays and help shape the company's future. Not only do you have the opportunity to develop your own skills, but you can also help your team progress and drive the company forward. Set your career free: we offer flexible working arrangements, the opportunity to change position and even assume leadership roles — no avenue is off limits. So, are you ready to take the next step? Start your new and exciting journey at Barclays.

What you can expect at Barclays:

⦁ A competitive base salary

⦁ A flexible budget to use at your discretion (including an HVV Ticket for public transport, payments to employee savings schemes and other solutions)

⦁ Partly Home Office

⦁ Significant employer contributions into a company pension scheme

⦁ Company sports and fitness activities at special rates

⦁ Bonuses on special occasions

⦁ Up to 8 free tickets per season for the Barclays Arena

⦁ 30 days leave (for a 5-day week)

⦁ 2 work days available for community involvement, charity work or social outreach

What will you be doing

⦁ You will bring your strong Tableau and SQL programming skills to bear, translating complex information into a fact-based presentation to support colleagues in other departments

⦁ You will be responsible for producing MI, historical reports, and ad hoc analysis, including compiling end of week, end of month and end of year reports to support operational areas and proactively drive management decisions

⦁ You will ensure that quality requirements and agreed deadlines are reliably met. These results form the basis for fulfilling the tasks of other colleagues within and outside the team

⦁ You will continuously work to improve existing reports and dashboards using as well as linking all available data sources to provide comprehensive insights and advanced analytics

⦁ You deliver accurate results within tight deadlines and find innovative ways to solve analytical problems

What we're looking for

⦁ You have a degree with a focus on mathematics, (business) informatics, data management, data science or similar and have initial experience in business intelligence. Alternatively, you have already worked for several years as a data analyst in the business intelligence environment

⦁ You have experiences in targeted data analysis, finding important insights and exploiting potential

⦁ You work independently and you are a strong communicator with a high affinity for logical and complex interrelationships

⦁ You are familiar with Tableau and SQL programming skills to produce meaningful insights and reports

⦁ Good knowledge of SAS or a comparable data analysis and statistics tool (R, Python) is a plus

⦁ As a self-motivated team player, you can define, structure and prioritise work for yourself and others - but you also have the flexibility and ability to change priorities as needed

⦁ You speak fluent English and have at least basic knowledge of German

Skills that will help you in the role

⦁ Ability to deliver accurate results within tight deadlines

⦁ Ability to synthesize divergent sources of data (data room, data tape) into a comprehensive view of the business

⦁ Experience in consumer finance or payment market (ideally in Germany) with respect to customer acquisition, product management and/or risk assessment
